Charles Messier
he will be the first astronomer I have featured in this blog.
He found the coment which brushed closest to earth's blue-cheek...
he used a special computer, which they call an orbit computer. ( Anders Johan Lexel )
On July 1, 1770, the comet passed 0.015 astronomical units from Earth, or approximately 6 times the radius of the Moon's orbit.
The coment (called: Lexels comet)
went missing though.. and Charles has been looking ever since...
He departed on 12th April 1817 to continue his search for the missing comet....
