person of the week: Pawel Zagrodnik

Person of the week: Pawel.

Pawel Zagrodnik of Poland (white)
 and Masashi Ebinuma of Japan
lay on the mat after their match
in the Men's -66 kg Judo
on Day 1
of the London 2012
Olympic Games at ExCeL.

Pawel wins this week's award for his determintaion.
He was born on 10th Sept 1987.
His mother named him after the literary - giant, Pawel Huelle
who made his literary debut with
"Weiser Dawidek"
(which was later made into a film)
Our Pawel went to school in Poland
and met his fiance during high school.
He attended the Finance - School of Banking, in Chorzow ( Poland )
He always struggled to fit in
and concentrated all his frustration
and ambivalence he felt towards teenage-Polish life
into judo.

He was never bullied at school. (His lethal ability was wwell known)
Although he lost to Masashi on Day 1 of the London olympics (a bit controversial at present)
his fiance is happy that he is not hurt
and she looks forward to him returning to Poland.
She is eager to continue finalisation of their wedding preparations.
20% of Polish women choose not to marry.
Pawel counts himself lucky.
